Limited Edition of 20. Signed by the Artist.
Michel Cornu began his career in 1984 when he joined a workshop in St Die, meeting Japanese painter, Osamu Yamasaki, and working with him for three years.
Cornu’s pieces have a calligraphic, and some may say Japanese-influenced, quality that has been described as simple yet well executed. It is this style that creates a mature relationship between the paper and ink, decisively an age-old combination. The grisaille palette offsets the delicacy and lightness of the elongated shapes that appear to grow and develop, resulting in a powerful visual impact.
